For the first time in France, a major DIY brand is integrating remanufactured batteries compatible with major brands into its national catalog. By partnering with VoltR, Leroy Merlin offers its customers a cheaper, sustainable, local and efficient alternative for their power tool batteries, marking a major step forward for reuse.
The national deployment of VoltR tool batteries at Leroy Merlin proves that the battery remanufactured in France is a credible industrial alternative to the standard battery, capable of meeting the requirements of mass distribution while attracting consumers.
Beyond a competitive price and compatibility with major tool brands (Bosch, Ryobi and Makita), VoltR batteries guarantee reliability and performance identical to the original models, while offering a much lower carbon impact than standard batteries.
The deployment was structured in two strategic phases to ensure optimal adoption in stores. After a successful pilot launch during the summer in five points of sale, the collaboration was scaled up in December. VoltR thus ensured the referencing and delivery of tool batteries throughout the national network. We worked with Leroy Merlin to train the field teams and make them real ambassadors. Finally, specific merchandising work has also been carried out to make this innovation visible and educational directly on the shelves.
